Paris in 2 days! Day 2

The second day has come!

Since the first day was quite intense, this day's tour will not be so hectic and long.

Starting in the morning at the Basilica of the Sacré Coeur, which is located at the top of one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Paris, Montmartre. Here you can enter the church for free and if you want to go up to the dome and viewpoint of the church, where you also have a panoramic view of the city, it costs 7€ per adult.

Once you have visited the church, you can walk through the lovely streets of Montmartre, which are full of restaurants, souvenir stores, art stores and bakeries. The atmosphere is truly beautiful.

After strolling through Montmartre you can continue down the hill until you reach the Moulin Rouge, the most famous cabaret in Paris, where you can take pictures in front of its pretty facade or even attend a performance where the tickets start at 78 €.

Then you continue down to the Opera - Palais Garnier, if you enter having bought the ticket in advance, you may spend a couple of hours in the place. Afterwards you could cross the street and enter the Galeries Lafayette, and go up to the terrace to watch the sunset. It is really worth doing it.

Finally, you can take the metro towards the Place de la Bastille, and look for a restaurant in the Boulevard, where the ambiance is ideal for a dinner in Paris.

Palace of Versailles

If you are in Paris, you cannot miss the opportunity to visit the Palace of Versailles and its gardens. It is located just 19km away from the city. Getting there is very easy, you just need to take the train line C of the RER, which is the one that connects Versailles with Paris. If you have your Navigo pass for the week, or weekend, which normally works in the 5 zones, you don't need to buy an extra ticket, but if not, it will cost you 3,65€ per trip. European residents under 26 years old can enter the palace for free and if there are no events in the gardens they can also visit them for free, otherwise the cost of the tickets is 18€ per adult for the museum and 10€ for the gardens. It is definitely worth to visit, it is a palace full of history, which has been extremely well preserved throughout the years. The gardens are truly wonderful and huge, they are a kind of labyrinth in which you can spend hours walking around. This Palace is one of the largest and most famous palaces in...

Galeries Lafayette

This shopping mall is one of the most famous and prestigious in Paris. It is not as popular as the tourist attractions that I mentioned before like the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre museum, but it is definitely worth to visit it.  Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, and many other fashion and beauty brands are present in the mall.  However, people do not only go there to shop. On the top floor there are cafes and restaurants, but the highlight for tourists is to go up to the terrace from where you have a panoramic view of Paris.  Christmas time is approaching and that is when the decoration of the Galeries Lafayette is really worth to be seen.   Please follow me  on  Instagram  and  Facebook .

Paris in 2 Days

Most of the people come to paris for only a few days, usually on weekends, and let me tell you that this is enough time to visit the most touristic places of the city. Due to the size of the city and its very good public transportation connections, it is very easy to tour the city in only two days, having even gone up to the Eiffel tower and entered the Louvre museum for example.  The best advice I can give you is to plan your tour in advance and buy the tickets to museums online, so you will save time and avoid giant lines because in most museums and attractions the tickets are sold with a schedule, that is to say that you are assigned a time at which you must arrive and enter the place.  Regarding your mobility, you can choose between walking, going by metro or bus, or renting a bicycle. These three options are the most economical and in my opinion the most practical. With the metro you can go from one end of the city to the other in less than an hour. If you opt to use the ...
